Can't run Elad software in new Win 10 installation
You might want to download an earlier version of FDM-SW2 that includes the entire install. Some of the versions are just the FDM-SW2 without .Net. I use v1.120 as a base install (which is about 100MB)

Overloading with wellbrook 1530 unless i use attenuation
My mistake, I think the Perseus has the 1700kHz LPF – as I remember it even made a nice little “tink” sound when you passed 1700 as the relay clicked. FDM-S2 is at 54MHz – not much help for MW/SW over

Jack, is that a single channel trap, High Pass, Low Pass or band block filter? If single channel can you share the math for building for a particular frequency? Bill

Do you have a very strong local AM broadcaster – one that pushes the S-meter to the far right? If so your best bet might be a single channel AM trap. If not you might have a strong signal outside the

I agree, if he wants to listen to 133.55 MHz a decent FM filter should relieve the front end just enough to work well. As to my use of the word “destroy” that was a bit overkill – the SDR was able to

I’ve been amazed at how good the ELAD is under strong RF conditions on the FM band but if you are 0.7 miles from a 100kw FM station I don’t think there is much you will be able to do at all. I was 500

“Out of range”, as I understand it, means not within the published specs for the SDR when tuning “in range”. It does however work. See the screen shot below. Lots of signals using an 88-108 FM antenna

James, the S2 goes to at least 160MHz with decent sensitivity. It looks like ACARS is typically on 131.55MHz. This tutorial discusses some software you can use - http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-radio-s

Just delete the folder (or rename it) and restart SW2. No reinstall needed although all settings will go back to default.
