Hi Eckhard,

I don't know what will be, but now there is a requirement to answer some people that don't know english language so I thought is better to make a new group. I think no problem italian or english or other languages, I'm here to share what Elad is working on and improve it, my personal goal is to amuse sharing on sdr technologies and applications.

Hi Franco,

that' just fine for me, and I understand the reason for that. But it's also a pity to miss the questions and remarks of the Italian users.

PowerMate.

Any user of Griffin PowerMate, I can report as configurarle so that it can be used with the SFW-1.
I only managed to configure the Dial UP and DOWN, and I can also handle bar and the bar MHZ meters, and if you can get on and off the audio.
I see only one document in the program that tells me the hotkeys, but there is only hot keys for a few stocks. More hotkeys to those shown in the document. ELAD FDM-SW1 Quick-start guide
Thank you.

Wait a minute.

Higher samplerates,varable size window,RDS decoding,
all in about two weeks.
You are going much too fast!

(and not even a single new bug to report :-)

FDM-S1 and HamPAd

I would ask if you can use the monitor to the receiver HamPad FDM-S1, and if so, could dispense with the PC for use or complements HamPad only for use but dependent on the computer.

Thank you.

Good and Fantastico

When I decided to purchase the FDM receiver DSR-S1, I did a little intuition, and he had no knowledge of the way the issue of support for this SDR.

On the CD that came with your receiver, I brought the version 1.28 and install it on my netbook, I could see how the sound is cut off constantly and it was not pleasant listening.

After 2 emails, the manufacturer of the receiver and recommend me to upgrade to version 2.8, after pass the address of the FTP. My receiver worked so remarkably well, in less than 1 month I could install as many updates with enhancements that I was surprised, good and fast updates, which have dispelled my doubts about whether to purchase the FDM-S1, would have a good support.

I am amazed at how well it works the receiver and the power of your software.

I've been recommending this receiver 2 weeks all radio colleagues I talk and I can not stop praising his performance and especially its support.

I hope this support continues in this manner so complete and return the application as complete as her older sister Studio1

Thanks to all who make possible this marvel.

External LNA/BPF considerations

pd0psb@...

Hi Elad team,

Some time ago I ordered several helical BPF's and MGA62563's from www.rfmicrowave.it. I can highly recommend their excellent service and parts assortiment!

I already built a 4X antenna switch on the Elad SFE board, but now it's time to get into VHF...

My idea is to make several relay switched BPF's before the MGA MMIC:
-45 to 55MHz (6m hamband)
-65 to 75MHz (4m hamband and OIRT broadcast)
-88 to 108MHz (FM broadcast DX)
-140 to 150 (2m hamband and mil air)
-150 to 160 (VHF marine and other landmobile services)
For all these bands I have fixed or adjustable helicals from rfmicrowave.

Some questions regarding Franco's initial VHF schematic:
-Why is the MGA supplied with 3,3V and not 5V? (as per datasheet) Better nf? Lower noise from DC converter?
-Is Elad considering to manufacture a ready-made LNA/BPF design to use most of the VHF ranges? For what bands?

I'm very enthusiastic about FDM-SW1 over the whole range from LF to VHF. The range from 0-180MHz contains very much interesting bands, and tuning this entire spectrum with a single high quality SDR is truly amazing!

Hi Paul,

thank you for your words, and thank you to all have appreciate our efforts,

1- simply because MGA62563 3v3 used is a cut and paste circuit from other development, just to demonstrate what is possible with SFE board. IP3 is better with 5V so my suggestion is to use 5V.

2- yes Elad is considering to build preselection filter LNA/BPF that can be interested to mainly applications, just need time.
Some of these are in development.
Hope FDM-S1 become more popular to cover more applications with proper filter.

Re: FDM-S1 and HamPAd

Hi Carlos,

Hampad has only 800x480 screen resolution while FDM-SW1 software need 800x600 or 1024x600 minimun resolution.
You should find an USB monitor with one of these resolutions to make a 2nd monitor dedicated only to FDM-SW1 software.

Hi guys,

FDM-S2 is a new model little bit different from FDM-S1.
It has a 122 Mhz ADC sampler, other specs as usual in FDM-S1

Tmate2 is the evolution of Tmate:

HID interface (no driver required)
3 encoders
6 buttons
1 RGB display with many information.

Compatible right now with FDM revceivers
Compatible soon with:
PERSEUS (using CAT)
STUDIO1
PowerSDR(TM) ( using CAT)
