I have a DUO and ART 120 with which I am well pleased. So pleased in fact that I want to be loyal to Elad and buy my next rig from them.
Around November time of last year I saw a very short video announcing the Duo - X. In which it said it would be available toward the end of the year.  The year has long past and I am wondering if the Duo -X has past with it.
Can someone please advise whether it is going to happen or whether it is an abandoned project.
If it still on going - when?
Regards Bob

Re: FDM-S3 not GALILEO --> u-center

Thanks for the help, everything has already been done, the 8 chip was not designed for Galileo, it will be cleaned up with an update.

When I know more, I will report.

Greetings, Uwe

The SDR-Duo does, to all  intents and purposes, operate in full duplex in that there is no common hardware between Tx and Rx chains.    So there is no need to do much in the way of changeover, other than protection of the Rx from excessive power when transmitting.   SO you're hearing nothing more than the Rx input protection relay.   Don't worry about it.

Hello Neil,
Thanks for your input. You are perfectly right. What I don't like is that even though the footswitch puts the DUO in TX mode (for CW, SSB, etc) until the switch is released, the relay is activated for every dot or dash when in CW mode. Maybe this is what the manual means by "Transmission is driven by the CW key" on page 19. I would prefer the PTT input to override any other PTT functionality.
Thanks for your help / Kjell-Goran SM4GRP

It's a 2.1 mm power plug (I just measured one of mine with a gauge pin at 2.13 mm). How about something like this from Lynchy? He sells Elads as well, so can advise.

https://www.hamradio.co.uk/accessories-by-manufacturer-bhi-accessories/bhi/bhi-1030-fpl-fused-dc-power-lead-pd-6693.php

Quoted supply requirement is 2.5 amps peak at 13.8 V according to http://sdr.eladit.com/FDM-DUO/ELAD%20FDM-DUO%20-%20User%20Manual%20v2.11%20EN%20-%20User%20Manual.pdf <http://sdr.eladit.com/FDM-DUO/ELAD%20FDM-DUO%20-%20User%20Manual%20v2.11%20EN%20-%20User%20Manual.pdf>

Hello,

first check the GNSS Config with the u-center software, go to menu View -> Configuration View -> "GNSS (GNSS Config)" node.

Thanks Simon and Geoff. No offence taken - my original post was confusing in retrospect anyway, so I added to it as you may have noticed.

DUO ART 120 still for sale at £600 if anyone’s interested!

Is it the attenuate-on-TX relay perhaps? Menu 50

Hello,
I am a long time DUO user but still have an unsolved issue. Any input is very much appreciated.
I always use a foot switch for PTT when in SSB or CW mode. The switch is connected to the PTT pin in the mic connector on the rear side of the DUO. In CW mode there is a relay clicking (following the CW letters sent) all the time even though the PTT is activated by the foot switch. It sounds like a QSK relay.  It's annoying and I haven't found a way to keep the relay from clicking. Anyone knows how to keep the rig in TX mode without this relay clicking?

I think my original post of DUO ART 120 for sale has become buried by the subsequent post for an FDM DUO - not helped by my probably confusing wording!

To repeat, I have a DUO ART 120 for sale - I’m looking for £600 and it’s 2 years old. I am going to operate low-power so I’m keeping my FDM DUO. I’m happy for any prospective purchaser to try out the DUO ART (with the FDM DUO I’m keeping!) at my Ipswich QTH.  I don’t want to ship it unseen and untested.

FDM-SW2 does not install FTDI and u-blox drivers.

Thanks Vianney, I'll download and install them.

Why do you think they wouldn't install automatically after installing FDM-SW2? FTDI is well established so I'm surprised Windows didn't automaticall recognise the device?
