thanks Neil. I used the original USB stick that came with the system and it had a lot of the original files on it. I moved them all except the two binary files off the stick and everything worked

Re: rx and tx updates
If you're using a large memory stick, try to find an old 8GB unit, larger ones don't work. 16GB ones work sometimes.
Lots of messages about this "feature" in the group's.io archive.

Re: Noise Blanker & Auto Notch
Menu 84 will show you what firmware you have in your radio.
As to getting new firmware (if needed) search Download Elad.
Back up to opening file directory. Go to FDM-DUO > Go to Firmware Release >

Thanks for all the suggestions, after a lot of help from Simon G4ELI we managed to get it working with Simons software suite, a near vertical learning curve for me :). It’s an impressive little box,

Tim
Assume you have set the “TX In” on the Duo menu to Auto or USB. The Duo works great with WSJTX, assume it is a simple fix. Also make sure your CPU is syncing its clock properly.

Re: MSHV/ WSJT problem
Thank you Peter, I’ll do some more searching. Having used radios before with inbuilt sound cards such as the IC7610 and the IC7600 I assumed that it would be relatively simple to get going.
