One of EU´s top BC-dxer uses a Winradio Excalibur and a Phonitor 2 from SPL, which is also used for his hifi; he is very happy with the results.
Another option is http://www.reuter-elektronik.de;

Re: QSF-06 band select
If you don’t already have a QSF-06, then there are other ways to get a nice pre-selector that can easily be controlled with a rotary bandswitch.

Re: QSF-06 band select
Thank you, Ernst. I have learned more about the QSF-06. I am starting to work on an interface so that the QSF-06 can be used independently of the FDM-DUO, using an Arduino.

I recently purchased the FDM Duo with the DUO-ART. I am very happy with the audio both transmit and receive. I did have some difficulties setting it up for remote operation with SW2 on my desktop

Chris;
Forgive me as this is a very basic reply as it is 6:15PM and I really want to step away from this %$#@ computer so I’ll make this brief.
You could download some of the sample files -

I'll have to check that out. I made some inroads, though.
I appreciate your help.

A cup-shaper bearing carrier with a very thin base might be feasible, it could be gripped by the encoder shaft nut and have caged needle roller bearings outside it which are pressed into a hollow

Thanks - great info. Can the bushing be installed from the front of the panel? It should be easy to make an oilite bushing if the bushing is just a press fit. I guess I need to remove the tuning
