Nils,
I am curious as to how well a recording using my TXCO/GNSS FDM-S3 would resolve using SDRC V3.

The mainboard is Z390/AORUS PRO. And the model is a tailored Kenko model by Silentmaxx, about two year old now.

Nils,
Thank you for the information. I assume you are utilising the native USB/3.0/3.1 ports on your W10 PCs motherboard.

Thanks all for the replies about HDD, I've also had some additional info off list and these recent internal SATAIII HDDs do sound up to the job. I'm going to save a few quid and get a pair of Seagates

Hi Nils,
I have had no problem recording to my 12TB internal Hitachi HDD, with the S3 at full throttle.
Interesting that you managed it through USB3.. I must try that here...

Re: FDM-DUO Problem
The issue is the 10MHz ext ref. as mentioned just now.
But here's a set of measurements at 28 - 165Mhz

I think you've hit the nail, John
PSU is blameless, but when I removed the external 10MHz input, all but a very small pair of sidebands went away. I was using the wideband SpecAn, so couldn't

Re: FDM-DUO Problem
When I replied to Chris , I mentioned it rang a vague bell. Neil seems to have similar recollections .
Have you tested for spurions without the external 10MHz reference ?
Run on a battery supply ?

Hi Andy
Can it be some internal Low power swiching regulator?
Do you see same behaviour at different fundamental frequency?
