Re: S3 downconverter
During a last phone call to Elad, when I ordered a 60m band filter, they said me it will be available probably the end of January.
A bit of patience is necessary. :-)

That would also interest me, Elad cannot deliver the devices it promised and even emails are only
answered hesitantly, as a customer you then look for other devices. Sad something ...

Re: Hooked up Hardrock-50 amplifier to FDM-DUO - Getting Demod Error

The HR50 should have 817 mode set to NO as well as KX3 serial NO and set On the main menu Key set to PTT.
On the Elad I have TUNE PTT set to no, but that is the only PTT setting I know of. I have it

Re: Alternate microphone?
After some trial and tribulation, I succeeded in getting my headset to plug into the radio and actually work. It would seem the wiring solution that I chose for the connection to the RJ45 connector

Re: Hooked up Hardrock-50 amplifier to FDM-DUO - Getting Demod Error

That is exactly what I did and I get an error... I was surprised that I received an error. I'm wondering if there is a setting in either the DUO or the HR50 that needs to be set.

You can make a cable with RCA connector for the PPT JACK on the hard Rock and a 1/8 " plug with a stereo plug in the PTT JACK with only a connection to the tip and ground. Leave the ring connection

I did use a stereo cable. I've ordered the interface from HobbyPCB, just wondering if I could rig something up in the meantime.
Thanks.

Hooked up Hardrock-50 amplifier to FDM-DUO - Getting Demod Error
#fdm-duo
I hooked up my Hardrock 50 amplifier (DUO RTX/TX PL-259 connection to HR RF IN and DUO PTT to HR50 PTT) but I get a "DEMOD Error" when I press PTT or tap my cw key.
Does anyone have success in

Note that the spectrum display is still centered on the hardware receiver. If you do as Neil says it unlocks Rx1 (virtual receiver) from the spectrum display. RX1 now reacts as all the other virtual

Try clicking the FDM-DUO icon at top left, then uncheck the mode of duo = mode of RX1 button, then uncheck Lock to CF above the waterfall. I haven't tested what happens on TX, but it appears to work

Did you install the “Complete” .zip 113MiB version such as v3.037.
