Go ahead and solder them if you don’t have a crimp tool.

Power pole. That’s a term I hadn’t seen or heard before. Now I can search for them. Here’s one on Amazon. I’d rather not invest in a crimper for these.

It’s standard power pole connectors that can be purchased from  many locations, then you can make the power lead as long as you want.

FdmS3 yes, the new cases should be in Italy tomorrow and production will start, cases have changed to allow the 2ghz down converter to be installed, lots of additions, ref frequency input, bias-t to drive lna’s etc from the down converter.

We hope to have enough to start sales before end of February, price to be confirmed but we think $999

The down converter add on should be available by Dayton

Hope to have new pics sometime tomorrow

i figured it out was noise reduction enabled on radio, once off no issue the odd whine/fizzle goes NR only on 2 also, but i find when the dsp filter is set on 3 it is more than acceptable to overcome NR beng off, i mainly use it via the sw2 software and a bluetooth speaker so not a massive concern

Re: SP-1A noise on ssb

Dave -

I also recently got my new ELAD FDM-S 1 and have also noticed some MW stations have a sqeaking sound that don't occur on my other sdr rsdios. Not really too important but wanted to bring it up.

@Vianney, with re. to Declans' post:

What type of audio amp is used in the SP-1A (and in the SP-1, I have the latter one but don't want to open
the housing just for this exercise)?

Is it one of these Class-D amp chips?

Re: Adding ILG SW Datasbase to ELAD FDM SW2

Hi Dave,
i translated your Monroe.xml File. Renamed Monroe.csv because the final SW2 xml File is Monroe.xml.
The Monroe.csv file is your original data file (no copyright)
The Monroe.txt file is including only the plain text Records the Converter is reading.

Copy the Monroe.xml into your ELAD Folder and Load it into your Station-Memory.
I made a test and SW2 is loading the file perfectly.

The only data that could not be copied is the Record Field Nr. 8 (Mode)
There are Records that do not have the Mode at the same place.
All Mode-Fields are now shown as "AM". A part of this specification, there are different Modes that could not be set with the SW2.
The Station-Name is truncted to 15 Digit. (not 16 because there is a Bug in the SW2 x TCP reading)

That's it.
This is the last Conversion dear Dave.
Enjoy

I enclose here the Monroe.rar zipfile.
