A standard .wav file. I would guess the SW2 software would produce readable files although I might not get the frequency and other hardware related data - but that does not matter for this experiment. Please respond off list. 73 Leif

Willi, yes, I think you are right. Thunderbird and the likes do not send info back when some messages are marked as spam. Only the Web interface probably does that, and, as evidenced by a couple of messages of today, it looks like the culprit is mainly on the ISPs which, for their own reasons, decide that some messages are spam, and act consequently. So, if you receive a messages from groups.io stating that you have been unsubscribed because you marked a message as spam, do not feel guilty... :-) The real offender is your ISP... but you have anyway the chance, offered by groups.io, to immediately re-subscribe to the group... --

OK, thanx Paul. I am a new lurker here and maybe a future owner of an Elad. When I you saw your post, I was wondering why you didn't weigh in on some of the repair & warranty concerns that have also been recently posted. I now understand that you are only recently into your position. Your addition should be a positive move for Elad. Thanx for your response. 73 Bob W8RMV

Ciao Alberto. I received an email this morning stating that I was removed from the ELAD forum mailings due to marking an email as spam. I did not mark ANY ELAD emails as spam. It must be automatic from my mail server. I did request resuming emails from this forum.

Today I was told that I was unsubscribed from the group. I did not mark messages as spam. I think maybe some message ended in my spam-folder, I dont know. But I did emptied my spam folder yesterday. If you do not like a message, simply delete it... do NOT mark it as spam... This in your own interest... the platform groups.io has implemented a very clever and intelligent feature... if a member marks a message as spam, he is automatically unsubscribed from the group... it is not to the members of the group to decide whether a message is spam... that's a task for the moderators and/or owner... Marking a message as spam can have the negative side effect that the address of the group is put on some blacklists by some paranoid self-appointed guardians of the 'net... --

... great and very much appreciated! One should also add SDR-Console V3 of Simon Brown under
"Alternative Software". I am using it for years with e.g. FDM-S2
and hope to use their USPs, like up to 24 independent tuners
within the HF bandwidth, also with upcoming FDM-S3. Am 13.02.2018 um 18:39 schrieb Paul

I will do this . What format would you like me to do the recording in ? Do you mean using the SW2 software ? Please confirm . Yes the noise blanker on my TS590 does a good job of suppressing this . However the one built into the Elad Duo I have not tried much because I generally use the Elad Duo for WSPR and digital modes ( now almost exclusively FT8 ) using WSJT-X directly with the Elad Duo in standalone mode without SW2. This exciting because so many hams are just learning about SDR radios. I am looking forward to learning from your book, since I am far from knowing much about SDR and their uses. Whenever you get a chance please visit my QRZ page and take a look at what I have done with my Elad and SDR Station. I love my Elad and would love to be able to use it to its full extent. The system /shack I have established is nothing short of a dream for me. I consistently get great audio transmit responses, which I attribute to both the Elad and the added audio components. People are always asking me what Flex radio are you using when I make a contact. I tell the my SDR is an Elad. The immediate response “what’s an Elad? I love to tell them about it. I look forward to learning from you and what you can teach me and others about our state of the art ”Toy” and how best use it. Appliance operators like myself still have a lot to learn. Thanks and I hope to Speak to you soon. I’m an self proclaimed advocate regarding my Elad to my clubs, San Diego DX Club and the El Cajon. Welcome KJ6YXI 73 Miguel A. Rivera In His Service

Support Introduction
Paul Jones
Hi All,
I thought I would introduce myself, my name is Paul Jones, and I’ve started working for Elad, I’ll be taking over Technical Support for the Elad products, I’m based in the USA, now this may sound crazy, but I’ve never owned any elad products, but have them all on the way to me, the FDM-Duo, FDM-DuoR, FDM-S2 and Tmate, and more 😉
I’ve been into SWL/Ham radio for over 40 years, my callsign is NN4F, and if any of you own any SDRPlay products, you will know me by my SDRUno Cookbook, I’m a SDRPlay beta tester, and was heavily involved in the added features of SDRUno, testing it and breaking it etc.
I’ll be creating a similar cookbook style product for the Elad Products, so you can get the best out of them, I’ve been into SDR radio for many years, from sound card softrock radios, through dongles and sdrplay products and LimeSDR.
I hope to be of help to you all, and all while freeing Franco up to concentrate on product development etc. it will take me just a week or so to get up to speed and I’ll be ready to help as much as I can and to make the support system as fast and user friendly as possible.
Cheers & Ciao, Paul

Re: Some comparisons (inc S3)
Paul,
This is my first post here & trying to understand the lay of the land, so to speak. Based on your post, you provide technical support for Elad. Yet when I look at your QRZ page, you do not own or operate any Elad products. But you own a lot of other stuff & promote the FTdx3000 FB site an no mention of Elad whatsoever. I am confused by this. Maybe you can clarify. Thanx - Bob W8RMV

Re: SW2 waterfall lines
Leif Asbrink <leif@...>
Hello David,
an electric fence should be possible to eliminate in software. If you can make a wideband recording and make it available to me I would run it in Linrad - and if sucessful I would make a video explaining and demonstrating how to do. Presumably you can get rid of the qrm on a quiet band by use of the wideband noise blanker, but not on a normally populated band. Is that assumption correct? 73 Leif On Tue, 13 Feb 2018 15:58:27 +0000 "david price via Groups.Io" <pa4msa@...> wrote: I see similar type signature in my rural location and it’s generated by a nearby electric fence around a horse paddock . Re: SW2 waterfall lines
Neil Smith G4DBN
I have electric fences as well, but those bursts are regular and very sharp. Vitor said other radios did not see this, so it is something specific to the Elad. Any sign of a PK indication on the DUOr itself? Does the S meter jump at the same time? Do you get a noise on the DUOr speaker/earphones as well as in SW2? If it is still there with the attenuator in place, it is unlikely to be overload from a MW BC station. In the 6144kHz mode, does the whole of the spectrum pulse up like in standalone, or is there a shape to it? Does it cover only certain frequencies? Does it make any difference at all if the LPF is enabled? How about if AGC is turned off? Any differences? If you disconnect all USB cables and run the radio standalone, do you still get the noise bursts? How about with the USBs connected, but SW2 not running? Can you try running SW2 on a different PC? Have you tried a different power supply? Sorry to be so full of questions but no answers! Neil G4DBN
