Hi Peter
Thank you for your reply. My computer that I use with my DUO died. I am in the process of finding a replacement. As soon as I am up and running again, I'll contact you and tell you about trying what you suggested. By the way, where do I look for see the version of the firmware I have on my DUO. Thanks, for your help.

Hi Peter Thanks for your reply. I looked on page 22 of the reference you cited and found I could cut off the NB and AR using the radio. After cutting the NB and AR off, I went to my computer screen and checked the blocks to turn on NB and AR. It seemed to make no difference on the radio and the NB and AR did not reappear. However, when I change frequencies on the computer screen, the changes are made on the radio, and vice versa. Is this the way it is supposed to work? The radio internal controls have the NB and AN turned on. Check Elad FDM-DUO manual section 5.1.1.2 on shutting them off in the stand alone hardware receiver. That is in the receiver manual Rec. 2.12 09/21, Page 22. NOTE: the stand alone receiver can be different than VRX-1. Also if you want to listen to the stand alone rig, use the headphone jack on the front of the receiver. The computer adds a delay to the audio you are listening to, making it almost impossible to use the internal CW keyer. Peter WA7MOX

The display on my ELAD shows NB and AN blinking. On my computer screen, noise blanker and auto notch are unchecked; however, when I check the boxes on my computer screen, I can see the desired effect. Why does NB and AN blink no matter what is checked on my computer screen? Thanks,
Jack Fletcher
