Hospitality Education and Accreditation

THE-ICE - Who We Are

In April 2014 we celebrate our 10th anniversary - over this past decade THE-ICE has transformed from being a government-funded international education initiative, with eight Australian foundation members, to now being a not-for-profit international accreditation QA agency with a global network of 33 institutions from 16 countries - and we continue to grow!

Throughout this period our focus has remained on the recognition, development, benchmarking, and promotion in the specialized area of tourism, hospitality, events and culinary arts (TH&E) education, training and research.

International CHRIE recommended two accrediting bodies: the
Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration™ (ACPHA)
which accredited hospitality administration programs at the baccalaureate level,
and the Commission for Accreditation of Hospitality Management Programs (CAHM)
which accredited hospitality management programs at the associate's degree
or equivalent level.

You may want to shop the links below for additional sources of value to you
in learning about hospitality education, but also keep in mind that tourism
programs are often tied in with hospitality education so some of the management
of hospitality education may come from the tourism side of education accreditation.
