Today, trailers are sometimes moved with a wrecker (tow truck) rather
than by using the fifth wheel. Could that have been the secret?

There are some nice bed and breakfasts in Blowing Rock, about 10 miles
from Boone. It's probably a neater place to stay than Boone. A VERY nice
b&b is The Mast Farm Inn on the road to Valle Crusis.
