Foam core mockup for the depot at Linville on the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad.
Ever since I've been a model railroader I have read about foam core mockups for scratch built models. Despite being in the hobby some 40 years this was the first time I have actually done this.

Thanks, guys.
My first reaction (after the surprise) was, "Well, the Johnson City guys know of my work now"
My wife's reaction was, "Why isn't there a check in that box?" I had to explain that this

Narrow Gauge calendar from White River
Last night when I checked the mail, I was very surprised to have a thick mailer from White River Publications, with whom I've bene published on a couple of their magazines in the past.
Thinking it

I believe John Waite and I were the only two actively modeling the ET&WNC in Sn3....we were able to convince a few manufactures to make limited run items in addition to the excellent Railmaster loco

Today with all the "printed paper" modeling, structures are just a drawing and inkjet printer away.
Trucks for Tweetsie freight cars are available and Grandt parts are returning to the market.

It is a "Catch 22" situation. Modelers are reluctant to model a prototype that has little to no support from the kit manufacturer's, regardless of scale, and the manufacturer's are reluctant to

Tuhr Barnes is/was modeling Tweetsie in Sn3. Had a layout under construction using foam for most of the structure. There are Sn3 loco kits that are useful for Tweetsie.
All that said with Bachmann's

Bill, I’m getting 3 of these ET&WNC cars. What’s a good source for the end railing, truss rods and other detailing that would be needed? Any advice? These should make nice cars!
