This sparrow was first found Friday morning, but I missed seeing it. After an unsuccessful search Saturday, my next chance was yesterday. That did not work, but the White-throated Sparrow was seen this morning at the south end of the big pond. It was on the dirt trail past the eucalyptus trees near the chin-up bars.
Not counting CA Towhees and not knowing if anyone has seen a Junco, this is the seventh sparrow species in the park this winter.
