Three swallow species at Jewel Lake in Tilden

Yesterday at about 6PM, three different swallow species were busy foraging over Jewel Lake in Tilden Regional Park: Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Violet-Green Swallow and Tree Swallow. Also Western Tanagers are continuing there: I saw one at Jewel Lake last week, and a male last evening from Loop Road about 100 feet west of the intersection with Laurel Canyon Road. Black-headed Grosbeaks and Wilson's Warblers were abundant.

Good birding,
