Five Western Bluebirds (#42), (2 adults and three juveniles ) were a joyful addition to our year-old yard list in downtown Berkeley this morning , delighting my 1 year old granddaughter who called them “Blue Buhs”.
A lone Eurasian Collared-Dove (#43) an hour later was less welcome but no less countable; I am craving more species having just given up my rural home of 40 years in Maryland with a yard list of 145 species.
