Today, Nancy and I spent several hours birding at Contra Loma R. P.

Highlights included:

Hermit Thrushes (4-5, which was quite surprising.)
Loggerhead Shrike
House Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - several
Yellow-rumped Warbler - numerous
Great-tailed Grackle

Note: Contra Loma R. P. is open on a walk-in basis only, vehicles are not allowed into the park. The closest parking is at the end of Frederickson Lane. Bathrooms are closed, although we did find one that was open today.
