Greylag Goose at Miller Knox

Claude Lyneis

Out at Miller Knox today the bird population was less than stellar.  The inner lagoon is in desperate needed of the rains to come.  But among the Canada geese was a goose that seems to be a Greylag Goose.  I know they often have some mix with domestic geese, but maybe this one is a Greylag.  Anyway, it was the best photo of the day.  iNaturalist identifies it as being introduced in Miller Knox Regional Shoreline via anthropogenic means. Anyway it seems to be doing well and is a fine looking bird,

Hoping for a soon and wet fall.
