Coyote Hills (07/18) - Semipalmated Sandpiper

Jerry Ting

Late this (07/18/2020) morning I found a molting adult Semipalmated Sandpiper in the pond just north of the pump station on No Name Trail (37.546497, -122.093477). It's loosely associated with Western and Least Sandpipers and feeding on Brine Flies. I've included some shots in my eBird checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S71610105.

Happy Birding,

Jerry's semipalmated sandpiper continues this morning in the same area, in the muck west of the pump station at the beginning of no name trail.
