Corvid Play!

Jim Chiropolos

Each morning, a group of crows start the day on the wires outside the house. I watched two crows this morning fly in very fast - swooping, diving together with a distinctive loud qua-qua-qua-qua chatter. Territory defense - aggression- or play? I watched and they settled together on the wire - side-by-side. Play and pair bonding! Pretty cool!

Getting ready for a great holiday weekend....
