This morning at around 11:30 a.m. Nancy Van House and I clearly saw a Townsend’s solitaire on the Philips Loop trail between where it meets the East Ridge trail near Prince Road trail and the Eucalyptus trail. This is near where it has been seen previously. I think there was more than one but I saw only one clearly.
Later while still on Philips loop trail walking towards Skyline Gate I distinctly heard the repetitious chirp of the TOSO coming from down the hill towards the Stream trail.
