This morning there was a Clay-colored Sparrow at Boatwright Sports Complex in Concord. It was feeding with other sparrows in the weedy lawn along the ball field border with shrubs around here 37.94110° N, 121.97125° W. This time last year at this park these weedy lawn/shrub interfaces hosted nice mixed sparrow flocks including Chipping Sparrows.
I parked south of here where Crystal Ranch Drive crosses Galindo Creek to bird the riparian, but there's also parking at the lot near the ball fields off of Campus Drive.
