San Diego black swifts

Stephen T Bird

Lots of movement on black Swifts in SoCal, multiple small groups 3-5; and 3 separate reports of >10 today alone. I don’t know much beyond the historical Santa Cruz coast nesting sights in the Bay Area (the first eggs were collected by Vrooman 1901 on the Santa Cruz coast) like I do down there, but might be useful to look up the next few days.

I’ve  heard early reports in the PacNW so they’ve been moving through in addition to Ethan Monk’s on Mt Diablo. Not in Colorado, Idaho, or New Mexico yet.
