Had the first Allen's Hummingbird seen in our yard yesterday evening! Just at twilight I happened to spot something different about a hummer at our feeder. I managed to grab a few poor pics through the window...through a glass darkly, as it were. The green crown and hints of a green back make me think Allen's rather than Rufous.
