Here are some additional photos of the bird (temporarily on my flickr page, with Noah's permission)Thank you for posting these additional photos, most of which look much more
yellow than the previous ones. One of the most yellow looking is:
but in that photo the entire underparts are suffused with yellow including
much of the throat, mid-breast, belly and undertail coverts. This pattern
is not found on Cassin's or any other vireo in the Solitary complex.
Anomalous yellow can occur in photos and in the field for a number a
reasons. One is the filtering of light through green leaves, or reflection
off of green or yellow leaves.
