Clay-colored Sparrow
I visited the Elsie Romer Bird Sanctuary in Alameda this morning and found a Clay-colored Sparrow in the fenced-in shrubs just south of the concrete jetty. The jetty had 22 Snowy Egrets on it as well

Martinez Red-breasted Sapsucker
Yesterday evening I saw a Red-breasted Sapsucker land in a tree in my neighbors backyard. A first for me around here where I live 2 blocks NW of Hidden Valley Park. It didn't stay very long though.

Sorry for the late posting. On Tuesday (around noon), shortly before high tide , a jaeger (identified as a Parasitic Jaeger by Vern Bothwell) was mixing it up with Forster's Terns near the old dock
