Approaching the Berkeley Marina by water, I surveyed the derelict pier from west to east. One Mew Gull was east enough that it could have been seen with a scope from the end of the functioning pier. The other was farther out.
A quick count of Dunlins roosting on the pier remnants came to about 700. No sign of the recently reported Parasitic Jaeger or Pacific Loon.
