Western Tanagers in Canyon Trail Park, El Cerriro
George A Suennen
Took a quick walk in Canon Trail Park in El Cerrito and saw a pair of Western Tanagers fly in.
Also saw a trio of male Brown-headed Cowbirds competing for the affections of a female. That was interesting.
Other then that there were Lesser Goldfinch, Dark-eyed Junco, American Crow, California Towhee, Red-breadted Nuthatch, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Nuttall's Woodpecker, Wilson's Warbler, Anna's Hummingbird, House Finch, Bushtit, Northern Mockingbird, and a flyover by a Double-crested Mockingbird.
