Had a great day with my Palo Alto Adult School birding. Lass here today. Highlight was a prolonged look at a Northern Pygmy Owl along the fire road and two additional Northern Pygmy Owls heard along the way. Golden Eagle, Ash-throated Flycatcher. Western Wood Pewee. Western Tanager, Western Kingbird, Black-headed Grosbeak, three species of Vireo, Yellow and Black-throated Gray Warbler, Rufous-crowned Sparrow and Bullock's Oriole were also great. No buntings or unusual goldfinches unfortunately.
