Here is a possibility for creating an archive of birding locations. I'm
not sure how useful it would be (or if it actually works) so the
following are some maps I created in Google Maps with HTML links to
them. Click on the link in an HTML-enabled email and you should see the
map in a new web page.
Google Maps supports many different views (e.g. terrain and street) as
well as allowing you to get directions to the location.
Let me know if it works and I can add to the list and repost it from
time to time.
Hopefully, also, you can save the list on your computer as a reference.
When reporting a sighting, you could copy the map link into your report.
If you are savy with Google Maps, you could also create your own map in
My Maps with a pin location on it and publish that link in your report.
If our EBB group allowed for Archives, the maps could be listed there
instead.
