The morning was warm and overcast. The afternoon was cloudy and hot. A spectacular day. Favorite time: on top of Lizard Rock with panoramic view, listening to little jet fighters (shovelers) coming in to splash down in the North Marsh. Many ground squirrels around the visitor's center, and one striped skunk snuffling under an oak tree. Number of species: 53
