Common Nighthawk at the A's game

Noah Arthur

Somewhere around the 7th inning this evening, with the A's leading the Yanks 6 to nothing, a COMMON NIGHTHAWK flew rapidly over the stadium going about southeast to northwest. He was really on his way somewhere, not bothering to stay and watch the Yankees almost catch up in the 9th. A graceful, very pointed-winged nighthawk, about kestrel-size, with the pale bar on the primaries appearing to be about 1/3 of the way down the wing (not close to the tip as on a Lesser).

Go A's!
