Pacific Commons at Sunset

Hi Birders-

Due to boredom at work, I took a long lunch break just before sunset. I went to Pacific Commons Linear Park in Fremont. Only two Snow Geese were out in the flooded fields on the south-ish side, an adult and imm. There may have been a Eurasian Wigeon among the hundred or so Americans in a 'pond' near the paved path, but they all flew before I could get a better look. On the unpaved I ran into Jerry Ting who had just seen a bittern. About halfway along this path I looked across the pond and saw a Black-crowned Night-heron standing at the water's edge and just a few feet away was the American Bittern. Jerry also noted a Peregrine on a nearby tower.
