Urban Kites' brave front

Mike Hall

Following a long absence after my Jan 10 report, the White-tailed Kite is back, this time with a prospective mate. Possible copulation observed 2pm Wed, Feb 1, in Monterey pine behind 1517 Lincoln St, Berkeley ( a block from initial sighting). The male flew off; hunkered female driven off by three coordinated crows. Google Earth coordinates 37.523541,122.165374.
