Dear Birders:

Today for the first time ever in almost 60 years of watching the birds at my deck feeder, I have a tan-striped White-throated Sparrow  (and, yes, it's count day so I can mark it on my tally sheet!)  What I noticed first were the strong dark stripes on its back, brown stripes on its head, an finally the white throat.
