After a long hiatus, Nancy and I spent several hours this morning at Contra Loma Regional Park.
The highlight of our visit was a Hermit Warbler which I spotted in some willows along the shore of Loma Island. A complete list of birds seen and/or heard follows:
Anna’s Hummingbird (many)
Belted Kingfisher (heard only)
Wilson’s Warbler (several)
Note: Contra Loma R. P. is open on a walk-in basis only, vehicles are not allowed into the park. The closest parking is at the end of Frederickson Lane. Bathrooms are closed.
