Re: GGAS Tilden Nature Area Outing 10/5

During Alan Kaplan’s GGAS walk by the Tilden Nature Area and Jewel Lake, there was also a juvenile Cedar Waxwing perched under the Pacific-Slope Flycatcher. Cedar Waxwings are somewhat unusual for this area (only four other October sightings since 1996 at either Jewel Lake or the Nature Center). A photograph of the Waxwing (along with a number of the other species) is included in the eBird checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S48966991 A larger version of the Black-Throated Gray Warbler seen during the same outing may be viewed here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/99583878@N06/45128768061/in/dateposted-public/ Good birding, Lee Friedman
