Yesterday (Thur, 3/29) about 10:30AM there were 2 Red-throated Loons along the west shore of Chesar Chavez Park, Berkeley. One, breeding plumage, was off the north-west corner of the park, the other, not in breeding plumage, was further south on the west shore (1/2 way to concrete breakwater).

Tuesday, 3/27, about 5:00PM with a low tide, there were 150 Black Turnstones along the east shore mudflats. Mixed in were at least one Ruddy Turnstone and a Surfbird. Two Oystercatchers were also in this mix. Two Osprey were fishing above this east basin.
