Björn (SM0SBL)
I had the same problem but managed eventually to download ehrn pushing the download button. I had to use the direct link to pcloud as announced on the ke0zvd page and chsnge https to http. Paste the link below and try if you have the same problem as me.
(I have not yet talked using DroidStar but the log now says vocoder is loaded) http://p-lux4.pcloud.com/D4ZOPP2y9ZgknYQKZZZ8zuNr7Z2ZZkMkZkZsTw7Zc7ZezZVzZGGNUXZGI9CIxoQMwfToxPzPSiuWJNJeDiV/vocoder_plugin.android.arm64

New DUDE-Star Version (Bug Fix)
Stu Lloyd WI3J
I have an old ASUS Netbook running windows 32bit OS. I installed the 32bit version of DudeStar
about a week ago. I noticed on the setup tab there's not a check box to enable TX toggle and there's only one line to enter a DMR password. The 64 bit version has the TX toggle check box and there's two lines to enter the BM passcode and the TGIF Network password. Could those items be added in a future release of the 32bit version. Thanks.

Same here! Hooray! It’s a great back-up for when I thought I’d be back home for a TG chat…for traveling and not wanting to pack the HT, charger, hotspot, cords,…

Looks like it's back. Check TestFlight for the latest.

For what it is worth, a new version of Droidstar was recently posted via the TestFlight program. I opened TestFlight on my iPhone and DroidStar showed back up as something I could install. Installed and it appears to be working.

FYI seems like windows builds have always been available somewhere or another. I know they used to be right on the github site but they have been at the link at the bottom of the github site for a while now. They seem to always be up to date.

If Doug started this group, could you not email him at: DroidStar+owner@groups.io

I think you'd be looking at forking the project entirely. Fortunately
unlike other projects (Peanut and Hamvoip, etc) this is doable if you have the knowhow since the source code is actually shared. It's just my impression, but reading his recent stuff Doug seems to be burning out from dealing with ham radio operators as his users. It started by not including Windows builds, and it's been escalating from there. I hope I am wrong and Doug can keep up the good work. Why not use an RFinder B1? It has DMROIP No need for Wi-Fi

So this begs the question, is the iOS user community able to provide the required platform for continued development?
I for one would be happy to lend a hand. I've got a more recent iMac and the Xcode 13 installed. Happy to run the builds here. I don't however have a contact for Doug. This would require his blessing and involvement I would think...

Re: Droidstar for Apple IOS?
Bob Luff
I’m far from an expert but longterm user of DroidStar and been closely following the situation. On another site it was posted that the development has been forced to stop because Apple is forcing all apps to use certain software than is just not compatible with the developing DroidStar app. Very disappointing. DroidStar was a option when you couldn’t get back in time for a scheduled Net/ short trip not worth taking the hotspot/ batter… I did purchase a second hotspot that has a built-in battery that I was using to Allie me to be out on patio/ firepit… out on sailboat w/ my iPhone. Always had a second Anytone HT… so that HT + the new battery hotspot are now in a small ‘GoTo’ box… by the front door!

What we really need is a HT w/ built-in wi-fi and easy keyboard ability to direct enter TG #s/ WiFi address…

Re: DroidStar Reinstall Issue
candyman@...
This is from the droidstar github site:
DroidStar for iOS is no moreApple recently made iOS SDK 15 the minimum requirement for apps on the app store. XCode 13 is required for this SDK, but macOS 11 is required for this version. My mac is a MacBook Pro 13 2012 which is unsupported by macOS 11, so I will no longer be able to provide an iOS version of DroidStar. I bought this MacBook, a used iphone 6s, and paid for a developer account all out of my own pocket to provide a free version of DroidStar for iOS. Since I have no other use for a mac or an iphone, at this time I have no plans to by new apple hardware.

Yes. All of us/ EVERYONE using the DroidStar Test Flight ‘app’ has gotten the same message and all waiting to hear what will happen. Only those using non-iOS phones/ TestFlight are unaffected… that what the longer response was trying to explain.
