Two morning comets
Gregg Ruppel
Hi all:
Two new comets grace the early morning sky, c2020 M3 ATLAS and c2020 S3 Erasmus. Both of these comets were discovered earlier this year by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System when they were about magnitude 18. Both have now brightened, M3 to around 8th magnitude and S3 to around 11th. M3 is cruising north from Lepus toward Orion; S3 is in Hydra.
