PGC 3853 (MCG-01-03-085 and others) is a low-surface brightness galaxy located approximately 38 million light-years away in Cetus.

 

PGC 3855 (MCG-01-03-088 and others) is the edge-on galaxy below PGC 3853. This one is much further out at approximately 104 million light-years away.

 

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

 

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

 

Imaged November 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
