The NGC 3158 Group (WBL 287 - https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1999AJ....118.2014W/abstract) is a grouping of eight NGC galaxies and many more others located approximately 300 million light-years away in Leo Minor. NGC 3158 (UGC 5511, PGC 29822 and others), the elliptical near the center, is the largest of the group. See the annotated image for information on the others.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged February 26th and 27th and March 19th, 2020 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

Nice framing of this picturesque group, and impressive amount of luminance data. I appreciate the effort!

Nice job Dan. A lot of elliptical galaxies in this one. It is a nice little galaxy group and I am surprised it is not imaged more often.
