I have absolutely no concerns if you would like to continue to be the volunteer. We were only saying that DSNM is responsible for internet connectivity. I think it is fine as long as you make it clear to Hensley that it is his responsibility that you have volunteered for.

Thanks for helping us out. Every time an issue has arisen, you have been on top of it.

Thanks again,

Hi,

Years ago, Ben was managing the router for Gene.  Ben quit.
Ben would not give Gene the password to the router.  I was at the
site and I volunteered to help.  I was able to break in to the router
(you have to be on the site to do this...) so that we could regain control
and see all the MAC addresses and other settings.  Otherwise,
a new router would have been required and each of you would
have had to visit the site and figure out what all your MAC addresses
were and provide them so the router could be reprogrammed.  Somebody
knowledgeable would have then been required to program the router.

I have been managing the router remotely since Ben left.  I don't mind doing it.
I am still an unpaid volunteer.  I keep a record of all settings here on my machine at
home.  I don't know who would be more qualified to manage the
router and work with Valley Telecom as needed...  I don't
know who would be able to provide you with better information
and better service if you should need to add a device, or run down
a connectivity problem, etc.

If you would rather I bow out and have this all turned over to
an unknown entity, please let me know.  My preference is to
continue to manage the router and try to keep things running
with Valley Telecom.

I again called Valley Telecom a moment ago because 206.128.69.5
has again been down since 3:20:51 AM and is still down as of
now which is 6:32 AM.  Those are Phoenix times...

Mr. Hensley has given me permission to buy a new router if needed.
I would have to have it here at home to try to program it then send
it to the site and hope that, after installation, I would be able to talk
to it.

I still don't think it is the router but I have been fooled before...
Might have to replace it just to eliminate the possibility...

Valley Telecom is supposed to call me within the next hour
and maybe they can help shed light on what is happening...

Thanks,

Howard

a new router would have been required and each of you would
have had to visit the site and figure out what all your MAC addresses
were and provide them so the router could be reprogrammed.  Somebody
knowledgeable would have then been required to program the router.

Thanks,

Howard
