The next meeting of the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri Digital (Imaging) SIG will be this Tuesday, April 21st from 7 PM CDT until? We’ll be using Zoom in a webinar format. We might find this too impersonal and change to the normal format for May’s meeting if Covid keeps us from meeting in the real world.
Gregg Ruppel will be joining us from his home near Tucson to talk about comets. Gregg is a partner in an observatory we have at Dark Sky New Mexico. Gregg is what I could call an expert comet imager. He has a couple of astronomy pictures of the day (APOD) for comet images. Gregg will present on how he collects data and processes his images.
Bill Neubert will talk about his ongoing SQM project. SQM stands for sky quality meter. Bill will talk about different models and how to use them along with test data he has acquired.
Here’s how to join us on Tuesday night –
https://naed.zoom.us/j/92818598110?pwd=Umg0TW1hLzVjbXUrbXZMSzlPNzRydz09
use password vega to join
the doors open at 6:30 PM CDT
Feel free to pass this along to anyone that would have an interest but please do not post it on social media or other websites because we don’t want it to be indexed.
I hope you’ll join us Tuesday night,
----
