M22 (NGC 6656 and others) is a Shapley-Sawyer class VII ( globular cluster located approximately 10,600 light-years away in Sagittarius.


NGC 6642 (ESO 552-32 and others) is a small globular at the top right. It appears to be located approximately 26,400 light-years away.


Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2


240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours


Imaged on September 28th and 29th, 2019 Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
