NGC 2467 - The Skull and Crossbones Nebula

Bernard Miller

This is an image of NGC 2467, also known as the Skull and Crossbones Nebula. It is a star forming region about 17,000 light years away in the constellation Puppis. This region does not represent a single star cluster, but rather many separate clusters along the same line of site, each with different distance and radial velocity.
