WinWarbler & FT8

Hi Dave...

I ask this question out of curiosity. When operating FT8 using JTAlert for WSJT-X and the DXLab suite... In my observations, WW seems to display the last “Operating Mode”   that was used... and does nothing until you switch back to one of the other modes of operating and the mode it displays in “Operating Mode” is irrelevant. What role does WinWarbler play if any when doing FT8?

What role does WinWarbler play if any when doing FT8?
WW plays no role in any of the modes handled by WSJTX.

+ As Joe W4TV explained, WinWarbler plays no role when operating in any K1JT-mode, like FT8.

+ WinWarbler assumes that it is the only digital mode application running. Given this attribute, I suggest that it be terminated when making QSOs in K1JT modes until I release a version that extends its Main window's "Operating Mode" panel to include a None option, which when selected will cause WinWarbler to close its soundcard connections

Hello....

Thanks Dave and Joe ...

Will look forward to a new WW Version to address the Operating Mode.
