Truncated callsigns in CQDX
DL5NO
Hello,
I configured SpotCollector (9.4.0) for two spot sources: db0soe.de (dxspider v1.55) via telnet and CQDX via IRC (us.worldirc.org). CQDX obviously shows truncated callsigns with a maximum length of 10 characters.
Examples:
From db0soe the spot is "EA8/DL1DXA/P", from CQDX "EA8/DL1DXA".
From db0soe the spot is "EA5/G4VZV/M", from CQDX "EA5/G4VZV/".
Unfortunately, I can't attach screenshots because, as far as I know, that isn't possible in the forum.
Have other SpotCollector users also noticed this effect? Presumably the callsigns are either already cut off at CQDX or in SpotCollector.

+ SpotCollector handles callsigns up to a length of 13 characters. It does not truncate callsigns shorter than that from any spot source.

Dave,
thanks for your comment.
I have now checked it with a native IRC client. In fact, compared to a server with DXSpider, CQDX cuts off spot callsigns with more than 10 characters. Long spot comments are also shortened.
Of course, SpotCollector can only display what is delivered ;-) So the issue is clearly caused by CQDX.
