Elecraft K4 Command Interval

Bruce - K5WBM

On the General tab of Commander configuration, my Command Interval is blank.  According to the help file, blank defaults to 200 ms but recent radios can handle a faster interval.  I set mine to 100 ms and the radio responds fine.  However, the 100 ms value is not stored when I shutdown Commander.  I saved my Workspace with the new value but it still comes back blank when I start Commander.  I expected the 100 ms value to be recorded in the registry with the Workspace.

+ Please do the following:

1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to your Commander folder

2. In Windows Explorer, double-click the entry for

CI-V Commander.exe

2. set the "Command Interval" to 100

3. Terminate Commander

4. In Windows Explorer, double-click the entry for

CI-V Commander.exe

To what is the "Command Interval" set?

+ Do you have one or more radios enabled on the MultiRadio tab of Commander's Configuration window?

Dave,

I have 4 radios defined on the MultiRadio tab but only the K4 was enabled.  I updated the Interval on that tab for the K4 and it stuck as expected.

Thank you for the help.

Hi Dave,

Yes I do.  I did fix it but I don’t remember how.  I did go thru my rigs in Commander so that was probably it.

I don’t use DXView for DXCC info much. I’m short N Korea for DXCC Top of the Honor Roll and 2 others for CW.

Again thank you.  It nice to get an email from you.

For several years now I’ve been keeping busy in the CWOPS Wednesday CWT and other CW contests.
