Default satellite and mode but blank default propagation sets propagation to SAT
I set a default satellite to CAS-4B and the mode to B. But I did not set a default for propagation mode (it remains blank in the defaults).
When I logged some HF contacts with the Capture window, the satellite was set per the defaults and the propagation mode was set to SAT. Unfortunately, I realized this after I already sent the records to LOTW so I had to edit the records and resend them. The band in LOTW appeared as SAT.
I guess I was thinking that the default satellite would only be used if I changed the propagation mode to SAT in the capture window. That is not the case. But with the propagation mode blank in the default, I am not clear why the logged QSO set the prop mode to SAT. Was it because it had a default satellite? That seems like something DXKeeper should not have done.
I reset the defaults for these two items and will not use them so I do not make this same mistake.

+ No. In the description of the Capture window's Log button's functionality in
https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxkeeper/Help/LogNewCapture.htm
+ the 9th bullet states:
" If the "sat name" selector is not empty, records the QSO with its "Propagation mode" item set to SAT.
+ Attempting to submit a QSO to LoTW that specifies a "sat name" but doesn't specify a Propagation mode of SAT will cause TQSL to reject the QSO. See the 8th bullet in

The 9th bullet applies. I missed that. I just won’t use that default since my S.A.T. Controller sets the satellite anyway.
The prop mode was set to SAT so LITW did not reject it. Since there is no way to edit a LOTW QSO, I resent a file with TQSL with the proper prop mode ( blank) and QSLs matched on sone if them.
Thanks
